Heading south in April, we're setting up an Open Mic in the village of Huillavington, between Malmesbury and Chippenham.
We've been keeping an eye out for a nice venue to try an Open Mic in the Chippenham area, but we found out that there's a couple of pubs which put on their own regular music events... so never wanting to tread on toes, we've kept to our routes and found ourselves a rural venue which is welcome to host some live local talent.
Little bit of pub trivia for you: Jamie Cullum lived and grew up in Hullavington before his family moved to B&nes - not sure if he played in The Star or the Queens Head (now closed) when he was growing up - it was definitely one of them!
Usual rules, no backing tracks, no drums, 15 minute initial set-time. If we're planning a busy evening, we'll take it in the Skittle Alley.
